Hunter Savage is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded Dublin law firm to recruit an experienced Construction Solicitor to join its established and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior solicitor to:

• Work across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters
• Advise clients involved in significant construction and development projects
• Take ownership of complex files and key client relationships
• Play an important role in the continued growth of the practice
• Progress towards a senior leadership or partnership position over time

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Advise developers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, insurers, financial institutions and public bodies
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts and related project documentation
• Prepare professional appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees and bonds
• Advise on payment disputes, delays, disruption, defects and contractual risk
• Handle contentious matters involving adjudication, mediation, arbitration and court proceedings
• Manage complex matters independently from instruction through to resolution
• Lead client meetings and provide practical, commercially focused advice
• Supervise and support junior solicitors and trainees
• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the construction practice

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least five years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong experience in contentious construction, non-contentious construction or both
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client-management skills
• The ability to manage complex matters with a high degree of autonomy
• A commercial and practical approach to legal advice
• An interest in taking on greater responsibility and developing a long-term career with the firm
